Day 3 of the Q.&A. video with EXCLUSIVE in studio footage of Billy Corgan recording. This is the first time in 15 years that Billy has allowed cameras in the studio. Enjoy...
I need to fly back to Los Angeles tomorrow. I will be there for a few days. We are going to pick the video blog back up and continue to answer your questions on Monday October 5, 2009. Have a great week. LOve K.B.

  5. HA! The Billy doll is so awesome, although I'll be honest I was excited to see Billy in the studio.

I did enjoy the sound clip though :)

  8. Man that new music sounds good! Fresh, new, good, cool, wholesome, organic, tasty, and GMO-free.

I'm a little bummed I can't ask a question. I was working for a benefit concert on Friday and Saturday from 6:30am through the night each day. It was a blast, but I missed my chance.

    YOU GUYS ROCKKKKKK!!!! (I roll).

Show us that sick pedal collection to make us weep...

oh, any tips on how to repair a binson echorec? There's one in my local pawn shop... it's mint condition...but when I tested it, the echo effect was very faint...everthing seemed to work/spin ok... might need some oil on the heads? cheers, leroy

  11. Hey Kerry,

Your blog is the best use of the internet I've seen to date, so congrats.

Love the Tech Tuesdays especially as I've been "studio shopping" myself today.
Alas, there are no EMI TG12345 or rocking API consoles here in Melbourne.

BTW, my GF asks "How many Kerry Browns are there in the World?"
She has a "Kerry Brown" cousin who divorced a "Bob Brown" and is now with a "Bob Smith" :)
Just to add to the confusion, my mate was in a band with three non-related "Browns" - the band name...Mr Brown!

  12. It hasn't been 15 years since a studio video - what about the video for the Untitled song (2000) on the 1991-2001 DVD? It even has Billy playing bass, not too shabbily IMHO.

  13. What's with the tower of Marshall heads? Are those seeing any use? What bout the Diezels and Bogners? In other words - are we getting any metal? :)

  14. Hahaha! I expected something along that line!

  16. Kinda weird question.. Some fans say that this band is called "THE Smashing Pumpkins", while other say that it is without "THE", only 'Smashing Pumpkins'. So I would like to know which side is right. Maybe BC doll will be able to answer it?:D

  17. I finally got around to watch your videos and they are great. Keep up the good work, the community loves it. This is new territory for me...seeing the ins and outs of the entire recording process. It's going to make me appreciate the final product so much more. Thanks again..Derek

  18. Benas-

If you look at their albums, from Gish until MCIS said "Smashing Pumpkins". MCIS said "The Smashing Pumpkins" and so did The Machines of God. I can't find Adore, but my iTunes says "The Smashing Pumpkins", and then FAEOMM was unofficial but "Smashing Pumpkins"... Zeitgeist went back to "Smashing Pumpkins" and so did the iTunes G.L.O.W.

  19. Billy explains in the interview on the Chris Isaak Hour that the band name is "technically" "The Smashing Pumpkins."

He said that they left out the "The" on Gish because it didn't look good on the cover.

    Haha.

  20. Just by that clip of music towards the end, I can already tell what a success this album will be. It's just what I was hoping for! I can't wait!

  21. Don't forget the Adore documentary (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDwXwTbyuNg) too. Was this what KB meant was the last time cameras were in the studio. Not exactly 15 years ago, more like 11 (the decade flew by, didn't it?).

  22. Damn. I've been trying to get these videos to load for days, and the space where they would be is still just a black blank. Is there something I can download for my mac to see them?

  23. @mybestfriendstew

Seriously? You think you can't make metal with Marshalls? What planet are you living on?

  24. His old MP-1, Tri-Axis rig or a Diezel would be more extreme, especially compared to the Marshall heads Corgan has there. I have full faith in these guys that it will sound great - when has it not???
