We were particularly struck by how "Gish" some of Broken Thoughts came out!
We call it Faulknerian Chamber Pop. The lyrics function as Southern historical fiction in the vein of William Faulkner and Flannery O'Connor. The music is orchestral pop with bluegrass instruments.
The narrative of our upcoming album Constance takes place between the 1860s and 1930s in a fictionalized version of my home town; Lexington, South Carolina. Its protagonist, Constance Vale, comes of age in the post-Civil War South, marries a man of mixed heritage, and, ultimately widowed and estranged from a prejudiced community, must face alone the consequences of her only son's nihilistic vengeance, as the South and the rest of the world plunge into the Great Depression.
I've always been very conflicted about the dualities of my southern home: the rural beauty vs. social evils for example. The Restoration is all about exploring those dualities as unflinchingly as possible.

To add to my previous comment, we're an electronic rock band. But, unlike many other electronic rock bands, we concentrate on the actual content of our writing. Every song has a specific purpose for being written.
Check out the tracks: Monochromatic, Finger Food, and Peace that Comes from Grief.
A great pleasure to email you and dig Smashing Pumpkins music. A friend and I were lucky enough to get tickets for the 11/29/2000 Farewell Concert before it sold out.
Originally from Chgo, have 4 records in various stages of completion. So close and yet so far, now unemployed and dealing with "older" band type issues related to a lack of money etc. that Billy talked about on the Jonsy interview.
I come from a place where great musical statements behind a strong rock record breaking through could bring about important universal awareness and help save RRR world.

Hi, we are a band from Nashville called Halo Stereo. We just got back from LA where we have been offered a few deals but are a little reluctant to move forward on them considering that most of the bands these labels sign end up dropped or shelved while never really accomplishing much. Here is the link www.halostereo.com We have had some TV placements, toured with some big rock acts like The Toadies, Days of The New, Etc... and currently have our debut single, "Doorman" starting at radio on Jan.29th. 102.9 The Buzz plays the shit out of the single and that is primarily why we have so much label interest. I would love your feedback because it seems that The Pumpkins' Camp can always impart wisdom upon the baby bands as well as give a solid view upon the current state of the industry.

While I would LOVE for you to hear my music, I was wondering what genre you are looking for. I write many styles, but I want to write what is best suited to your interests. I know you have a lot of replies already, and I don't want to waste your time with a genre that doesn't interest you.
My question might have already been answered and I apologize if I missed the answer to my question.
The Winter Solstice Album: Recorded in and around X-mas 2008 by a group of misfit musicians in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, a town driven by the rise, and decimated by the inevitable collapse, of the lumber industry.
After a year of post-production/re-working, the final product has been completed. A concept album based around the principle of the Winter Soltice: The Shortest Day of the Year versus The Longest Night of the Year. Biblical verse, experimental sound, the eventual demise of the planet via heat ray destruction.

This project was meant to be listened to as an immersive experience from start to finish. Thanks for your consideration and peace to you and yours.

Based out of the lonely midwest of America, the Wheelers are a four piece band specializing in 90's influenced alternative/indie rock.
Most recently, the band released their second full length album, "Milwaukee Black & Tan." Mixed by Ian Williams and Mastered by legendary producer KRAMER (Daniel Johnston, Low, Bongwater, Butthole Surfers, Galaxie 500, Danielson Famile, White Zombie, etcetera.) The album features 10 fuzzed out pop rockers that Kramer calls, "great fucking songs."
In 2008, the band contributed a cover of the Breeders' smash 1993 single, "Cannonball" to the American Laundromat Records release, "GIGANTIC - A Tribute to Kim Deal."
Their 2006 debut release, "Observance of the High Ideals" presented ten powerful tracks of thick fuzz.
In a review published in Little Village: Iowa City's News & Culture Magazine, Erik Farseth (Punk Planet, Maximumrocknroll) had this to say about the album, "At its best, indie rock has always attempted to subvert the tough guy poses of its punk and hardcore brethren, an anti-macho stance that can easily degenerate into preciousness or infantilism. Not so here. Observance of the High Ideals marks the point where the deliberate naivety of the lo-fi movement finally circles back on itself. This is heavy, brutal music for tender hearted creatures."
The band has been compared to Pavement, Sonic Youth, the Pixies and Unwound.
In the past they have performed with Dressy Bessy, Simon Joyner, Jake Bellows (Neva Dinova), Blackpool Lights, The North Atlantic, Ed Gray, The Slats and the Miracles of God.

I am mixing a record right now that is in my opinion the best record ever made from anyone that lives on my block..
Andy Van Dette will be mastering it when it's finished so there is an Adore tie in.
When its mixed I will link it, this is basically a "holla" as the kids say.
But since you asked for all kinds of things...here is some notes I took listening to the final mixes.

Hey Kerry,
the Pumpkins have had the biggest influence on me artistically. "Cherub Rock" was what made me decide to pick up guitar. Hope you find something to like across these three accounts.

Hi, we are a band from Nashville called Halo Stereo. We just got back from LA where we have been offered a few deals but are a little reluctant to move forward on them considering that most of the bands these labels sign end up dropped or shelved while never really accomplishing much. Here is the link www.halostereo.com
We have had some TV placements, toured with some big rock acts like The Toadies, Days of The New, Etc... and currently have our debut single, "Doorman" starting at radio on Jan.29th. 102.9 The Buzz plays the shit out of the single and that is primarily why we have so much label interest. I would love your feedback because it seems that The Pumpkins' Camp can always impart wisdom upon the baby bands as well as give a solid view upon the current state of the industry.
cheers to the new label. THE UNCANNY XE LA is a fan of the smashing pumpkins work. check out some of our work. cleveland ohio based ARTROCK&SOUL JAZZDUB QUINTET.

Thank you for everyone and best wishes! Shan

Dear Sirs,
Hobo Rockstar Astronaut Presents
The Winter Solstice Album: Recorded in and around X-mas 2008 by a group of misfit musicians in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, a town driven by the rise, and decimated by the inevitable collapse, of the lumber industry.
After a year of post-production/re-working, the final product has been completed. A concept album based around the principle of the Winter Soltice: The Shortest Day of the Year versus The Longest Night of the Year. Biblical verse, experimental sound, the eventual demise of the planet via heat ray destruction.
Link on rapidshare of the entire album in zip format here =

This project was meant to be listened to as an immersive experience from start to finish. Thanks for your consideration and peace to you and yours.

Beware the Wheelers.
thewheelers.bandcamp.com
