Billy and I are happy to announce the birth of our record label! The name of the label will be made public soon. (We need to make sure that we have the name rights before we can announce it.)
We are very excited to be collaborating with amazing artists that have made a huge impact on the underground music world... From the psychedelic garage rock of the 60's and the punk rock insanity of the 70's and 80's to the post-punk Pleiadian power-pop that is now.
This year we plan on releasing new songs from the following bands:

Fancy Space People- We are currently in the studio recording 3 songs... These songs are slated to be our first release, also keep an eye open for the upcoming Fancy Space People film.

The Germs - In the very near future we plan on recording two songs that Darby Crash wrote with Pat Smear. "Out of Time" and "Beyond Hurt - Beyond Help" Darby committed suicide and the songs were never recorded. The original line up will be recording these "new" songs: Pat Smear (guitar), Lorna Doom (bass), Don Bolles (drums) and Shane West will be singing.

wow-- can't wait for that Starchildren! I think that's great there is a release valve-- so to speak-- for the non-sp material coming out of billy's pores. Part of me thinks it would have been a healthier sp AND zwan if both bands existed concurrently.

As for your Twitter post, thought I might as well send something on here 'cos 140 characters is a jip sometimes (it's @meljroberts, by the way, lol).. it's been a looong time since my site was on blogger, but from what I remember you've got two options:
The first is to use a rich text editor on the site- basically, this is where you type in your post- if you can see stuff at the top you can click on (like buttons to change the text and that) there should be an option where you can highlight the link and make it into a real link- basically, just hover your mouse over them till you find the right one ;)
If that's making shit all sense and you don't have those buttons, you're using an HTML editor, more than likely- in which case, just use this code:

I must admit I'm not that happy with this news because this will inevitable mean distractions from the SP projects, but I really like hearing that you two are so active and above all, I really appreciate that you're giving us such an update. Thank you and happy new year.
I too am a little concerned about the distraction of the SP material that is suppose to be getting pumped out. As long as it doesn't get put on the back burner, everything will be cool. I'm excited to hear Starchildren and what the Germs will have in store.

The Germs!! Its been so long since I've listened to the Germs. Good memories. Billy has always had a good ear and excellent taste and I'm excited to see who else he uncovers. New and unknown bands too, I hope?
Fan adoration comes and goes but I know his talent has always been very much respected amongst his musical peers. I'm sure he'll have quite a few knocking on his door, hoping to be signed.

I'm not familiar with Starchildren, which is what everyone in this post is talking about, however I am deeply familiar with Ya Ho Wha and the Prunes, which I must say is absolutely amazing and electrifying you guys are working on new stuff with them!

I had no idea that 'Here is no why' was a starchildren song. Def one of my favorite SP songs, and that Amaj7 was the first chord I ever learned! Really looking forward to this and hope Billy writes for them.

i hate to go aagainst what everyone says but say that the new music is lacking the old sound. it is more pop then Alternative, it can barely be considered rock. Unless it dosent get the old sound that i grew up listening to since i was 3, then i would consider the Pumpkins dead.
